In Sight: Clam Shell from Kenya

I found this clam shell at my Grandparents house. It’s huge and I love the texture of it. They found it when they were living in Kenya. It holds a lot of sentimental value, and I love to hear little stories about peoples treasures. This is what my Grandma, Bet, told me about it…
“Col found the clam in a pool at Bofa beach, Kilifi. Probably about 58 years ago! We put it in the back of the car and the next day it smelled awful, so we took it out and left it in the garden and it soon became covered with masses of big ants. They soon cleaned it out for us. Since then it has been put in the dishwasher!”
