Kate Mawby is a Fashion and Textile Designer, specialising in knitwear. She shares her passion for design, textiles and sustainability by teaching workshops and as a Design Lecturer at the University of Navarra. Besides that she is also a Yoga Teacher and she currently teaches at La Faktoria.
Kate grew up in a small village near the Peak District in England, but has travelled and lived in many places, including New York, London and Bristol. She now lives in the north of Spain in Pamplona, with her husband, son and hairy cat.
Kate’s design work spans over 20 years, including fashion knitwear for established brands, such as Armani Exchange and Club Monaco, and small start-ups, as well as textiles for interiors. Academically she has achieved a first class Degree and a Masters with distinction. Her current interests lie in sustainability, artisanal craftsmanship and new technologies that can shape the future of textile production.

Kate teaches Vinyasa Yoga in English. It is a style of yoga that smoothly flows through a sequence of postures, connecting movement with breath. It is a dynamic practice that helps to increase flexibility, strength and mindfulness. She currently teaches yoga to dancers at La Faktoria in Noain.
